Napoli faced a tough test in their pre-season friendly against RCD Mallorca tonight, picking up a 1-1 draw.

The Partenopei took the lead in the first half of the match in Castel di Sangro after Victor Osimhen comfortably converted a penalty after only nine minutes. Things were looking good for Luciano Spalletti’s side as the match progressed, with the Campania side mostly in control.

After a round of half time changes, Napoli looked a little weaker and allowed Mallorca to get involved in the game more, a mistake that ultimately proved punishing in the 55th minute, when a poor move by Alex Meret allowed Raillo to net the equaliser.

The quality of the match seemingly dropped as the second half progressed and both sides were likely happy to hear the full time whistle after 92 minutes. One highlight was the appearance of new arrival Kim Min-Jae, who played the first 45 minutes of the friendly.

Napoli have two more pre-season friendlies remaining now – against Girona on August 3 and Espanyol on August 6.
