The penalty imposed on Napoli to play two home Serie A matches behind closed doors has been halved to one, it has been confirmed.
The Giudice Sportivo imposed the sanction last week in the wake of the behaviour of Partenopei fans at the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina.
However, the club appealed to the Italian Federal Court of Justice and it has now been decided that one game without fans will suffice.
As a result, Sunday’s home match against Verona, Rafa Benitez’s side’s final game of the season, will be the only one affected by the punishment.
