Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia continued to train separately from the rest of the group in this morning’s training session at Castel Volturno.

The Georgia international missed the last two Serie A games due to low back pain. The Azzurri hope he will be back for the last match of the year against Udinese on Saturday, but the 21-year-old is still training separately from the group.

“A morning session was in store for the first team at the Konami Training Centre on Thursday,” Napoli said in an official statement.

“The Azzurri continued preparations for the clash with Udinese at the Stadio Maradona on Saturday at 15:00 CET in Serie A Week 15.

“The session began with activation work in the gym, followed by rondos and tactical and technical drills out on pitch two. There was a small-sided game to round off the morning.

“Amir Rrahmani had physio, worked in the gym and trained individually on the pitch, while Salvatore Sirigu and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia both had physio and did gym work.”
