Napoli have yet another COVID-19 case in the squad going into the big game with Juventus, as Eljif Elmas has now tested positive for the second time.

The situation continues to deteriorate in the Partenopei group, as it was announced this evening that Elmas has contracted the Coronavirus.

He had the test while back home in North Macedonia for the Christmas break.

The player will remain in self-isolation at his home, is fully vaccinated and asymptomatic.

This is the second time that Elmas has tested positive for COVID-19, as he already contracted it in October 2020, ruling him out for three weeks.

Hirving Lozano and Victor Osimhen also tested positive while back home for the holidays, meaning Lozano, Osimhen and Elmas are major doubts to feature against Juventus on January 6.

The good news is that Lorenzo Insigne and Fabian Ruiz posted negative results, so are available again and back in training with the rest of the squad.

Mario Rui will miss the game, as he is suspended.
