The Azzurri striker has already ‘begun rehabilitation’ and the club confirmed he will continue the therapy during Christmas.

Mertens will miss the next four games, including the trip to Lazio and the home match against Torino before Christmas.

Napoli re-evaluating the injury in three weeks, means Mertens has been ruled out of the two first matches in 2021 too, with a trip to Cagliari on January 3 and a home match against Spezia three days later.
