Sky Sport Italia reports that Napoli director Giovanni Manna has returned to England to continue and, possibly, finalise transfer talks for Billy Gilmour, Romelu Lukaku and Scott McTominay.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli’s Manna has returned to England to meet the directors of Brighton, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

Manna had already travelled to London last week but failed to reach agreements for Gilmour, Lukaku or McTominay, three of Napoli’s main transfer targets this summer.

Napoli director returns to England for Gilmour, Lukaku and McTominay: the situation

Gilmour seems the closest to joining the Stadio Maradona as, according to Di Marzio, Manna and Brighton must fix the ‘final details’ for the Scotland international’s transfer.

Manna is still waiting for Chelsea’s reply for Romelu Lukaku after sending a €30m offer for the Belgian striker. The latest transfer package Napoli proposed is a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Lastly, McTominay’s transfer is tied to the future of other Napoli midfielders. If the Partenopei sell some players out of the project, then they can concretely discuss a transfer with Manchester United.
