Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Fiorentina’s Nikola Kalinic are being lined up by Napoli in case Gonzalo Higuain moves to PSG, say reports.

The Argentine striker scored a record 36 Serie A goals this season and reports emerged yesterday that his brother and agent has met the French champions.

The 28-year-old has a €94m buyout clause with the Partenopei, which would allow the club to be ambitious in the transfer market.

The 28-year-old has a €94m buyout clause with the Partenopei, which would allow the club to be ambitious in the transfer market.

Gazzetta dello Sport writes that Kalinic is an option as he has Serie A and international experience.

Lukaku would be a more expensive alternative but is being considered as well, according to the newspaper.

The outlet also believes that the money from Higuain’s sale would be used to meet the €25m valuation demanded by Ajax for Davy Klaassen.

The Vesuviani are also prepared to offer €15m plus bonuses for Sassuolo’s Sime Vrsaljko and could be willing to insert a player in exchange as part of a bid.
