According to Il Corriere dello sport, Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly wants to meet President Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss his future at the club.

The contract of the 29-year-old expires in 2023, but according to several reports in Italy, the Azzurri could sell him in the summer.

As per Il Corriere dello Sport, the player’s agent Fali Ramadani met the club’s representatives in April and was told the defender can leave for €60-65m.

According to the report, Koulibaly wants to meet De Laurentiis to discuss his future at the club and know Napoli’s plans for the future.

He is aware the Partenopei may need to sell him to keep their books in order.

The Rome-based paper also reports Koulibaly could be replaced by one of his former teammates, namely Raul Albiol.

The Spanish defender won the Europa League with Villareal, but is on very good terms with everybody at the club and has many friends in Naples.

De Laurentiis is reportedly considering Albiol’s return to the club even if the contract of the 35-year-old expires in June 2022.
