Arrigo Sacchi believes Friday’s Serie A bout between Napoli and Juventus can go some way towards alleviating the disappointment of Italy’s World Cup failure.

The San Paolo showdown sees the top two in Italy lock horns, and Sacchi hopes the match can be a good advert for football in the country after the Azzurri’s disastrous World Cup playoff.

“I’d like to see a game that can give some pleasure back to our football after the huge disappointment of not qualifying for the World Cup,” the legendary Coach told La Stampa.

“I’d like to see a game that can give some pleasure back to our football after the huge disappointment of not qualifying for the World Cup,” the legendary Coach told La Stampa.

“Napoli are only capable of playing in a way that we’ve learned to appreciate, not only in Italy.

“As for Juve, I ask them to take another leap forward. They’re our only club that can compete the same way at home and abroad.

“It’s not about what I like or dislike about them, it’s a matter of attitude. Allegri’s a master when it comes to managing his squad and situations.

“He’s also a master in terms of tactics. In essence, he’s a very good Coach and one of the best around.”
