Palermo will talk to the agent of Javier Pastore on Friday as whispers get louder that Napoli are keen on the player.

The Azzurri have again been associated with the Argentine talent should the club sell either Marek Hamsik or Ezequiel Lavezzi this summer.

"I'll be speaking with Pastore's representative at some point tomorrow," Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini told Radio CRC.

"Napoli? I don't know if they are still keen as I haven't spoken to Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis for a few weeks.

"However, I do think that their interest is concrete seeing as they asked me for him just 20 days ago.

"If one of their three front players leave – Edinson Cavani, Hamsik or Lavezzi – then they would need an alternative."

It was thought that only foreign clubs were seriously in with a chance of landing the creative midfielder given the costs involved in the operation.

Zamparini has insisted on more than one occasion that he values the South American at around €50m.
