According to recent reports, Napoli have requested to sign Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus for the 2024-25 season, which could have a knock-on effect for the likes of Michael Folorunsho, Gianluca Gaetano and possibly even Jadon Sancho.

Napoli want Arthur from Juventus

According to updates from transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, Juventus are open to the idea of sending Arthur out on loan to Napoli for the season. The two teams have spoken about a straight loan deal, without an option to buy.

If Napoli do sign another midfielder, then they would also likely move both Gateano and Folorunsho on before the end of the transfer window.

A move for the Brazilian could also have an impact on Juve’s pursuit of Manchester United winger Sancho.

Reports earlier on Thursday suggested that Juventus have hit a stumbling block in their negotiations with United, as the Old Lady have not yet been able to shift Arthur or Filip Kostic.

Sending Arthur to Napoli would solve half of that issue.
