Napoli, Inter and Milan meet for Samardzic

Udinese have reportedly lined up meetings with Inter, Napoli and Milan to discuss the sale of midfielder Lazar Samardzic at €30m.

The 21-year-old had a very impressive campaign at the Dacia Arena, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 37 Serie A appearances.

He was purchased only in the summer of 2021 from RB Leipzig for €3m, so his value on the market has multiplied by 10 in just two years.

Having said that, Sportitalia also note that Udinese are prepared to negotiate a slightly lower fee.

Inter are again considered the favourites, despite them pushing ahead for a deal with Sassuolo for Davide Frattesi, secured at €25m plus ownership of striker Samuele Mulattieri.

That is in progress, as confirmed by Mulattieri’s agent leaving a meeting with Sassuolo directors this evening.

Milan had been linked with Samardzic, but seem to have put all their focus on to getting Tijjan Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar at €20m.

Napoli are long-term admirers of Samardzic, who has two senior caps for Serbia, despite representing Germany at all the youth levels.
