Napoli have revealed captain Lorenzo Insigne carried out the entire training session with the group today.

The players involved in the 2-0 defeat against Sassuolo on Sunday went through a light session, whilst the rest continued to prepare fully for the match against Rijeka in the Europa League on Thursday.

Reports in Italy had suggested Insigne could remain out for three weeks with a thigh strain, but the 29-year-old, who picked up an injury in the 1-0 win against Real Sociedad last Thursday, was back in full training today.

Gattuso admitted after the game against the Spanish side that the Italy international expected it to be less serious than his first injury this season, as the 29-year-old struggled with a similar problem after the 6-0 win over Genoa in September.

Insigne was not in the matchday group for the home game against the Neroverdi yesterday, but he should now be in contention for the match against the Croatians on Thursday.
