Napoli are on the verge of completing another signing as they near a total agreement with Udinese for Nehuen Perez.
The Partenopei looked poor in the first half of the season, failing to replicate their Scudetto electricity under both Rudi Garcia and Walter Mazzarri. As such, president Aurelio De Laurentiis promised reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Napoli have lived up to this, signing winger Cyril Ngonge, right back Pasquale Mazzocchi, forward Hamed Junior Traore and soon midfielder Leander Dendoncker. With time running out in the transfer market, the club are starting to accelerate for their final targets.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli are closing to agreeing all the details for Perez with Udinese, willing to pay €16m plus €2m in add-ons. Atletico Madrid hold a 50% resale clause on the defender.
The 23-year-old has agreed to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract worth around €1.6m net per season, tying him to the club to June 2028.
This season, Perez has played every available Serie A minute for Udinese, providing one assist and impressing defensively across his 21 league games.
