Napoli identify Schuurs in quest to replace Kim

Napoli are preparing to lose Kim Min-Jae this summer and reportedly believe Torino’s Perr Schuurs could be a good replacement for the star defender.

Kim immediately hit the ground running following his arrival in Campania last summer, proving himself a vital asset in both attacking moves and defensive solidity. He played a crucial role in the Partenopei’s charge to the Scudetto and attracted the attention of clubs across Europe.

Bayern Munich and Manchester United are now both fighting to sign Kim in the summer, pushing Napoli to start searching for adequate replacements for Rudi Garcia’s squad.

DAZN Italia reports that Napoli have identified Schuurs as a strong option to replace Kim, impressed with his debut season at Torino.

The 23-year-old former Ajax defender replaced Gleison Bremer in the Granata squad and did well, seeing over 2600 minutes of action in 33 total appearances under Ivan Juric.

Initial contacts started back in April but no offer has been made yet, but this could change in the coming weeks.
