Napoli defenders Amir Rrahmani and Elseid Hysaj have tested negative for COVID, the club confirmed.
The duo had contracted the virus while on international duty in November but had already recovered.
Gennaro Gattuso included them both in Napoli’s squad list to face Real Sociedad on Thursday but the defenders tested positive again before the game.
They immediately underwent a new swab test that, this time, came back negative.

“Amir Rrahmani and Elseid Hysaj’s swab test came back negative,” Napoli wrote on social media this morning.
The defenders will be eligible to play the next Serie A game against Sampdoria on Sunday.
