Initial reports suggest Napoli striker Victor Osimhen dislocated his shoulder while playing for Nigeria, but there are no serious injuries or fractures.

There were concerns when the forward fell awkwardly during Friday’s 4-4 draw against Sierra Leone and had to be attended by medical staff.

Nigerian reporter Oma Akatugba already assured last night that his sources within the Nigeria camp told him it was only a dislocation of the shoulder.

While painful, the damage was not believed to be as serious as first feared.

Sky Sport Italia also confirm now that X-Rays ruled out any fractures to the shoulder, arm or wrist, so it is only heavy bruising.

Napoli have asked the Nigerian FA if Osimhen can leave the training camp early for a return to Italy, where he can undergo treatment.
