Napoli fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia returned to the squad training session today ahead of their match with Roma.

The 21-year-old Georgian winger, who has been on fire in the Campania capital this season, did not take part in the last two outings due to a bout of flu, forcing him out of action. Kvaratskhelia has been a key part of Napoli’s on-pitch success this season and his €10m move in the summer immediately looks like a bargain.

As announced by Napoli, Kvaratskhelia worked with his teammates for almost the entire training session this morning, showing positive signs following his period on the sidelines.

The Partenopei expect to have the Georgian winger available for the upcoming game against Roma, scheduled for January 29.

In the first half of the season, Napoli picked up a 1-0 win away to the Giallorossi, and they’ll be hungry for another victory as they look to maintain their 12-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.
