Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis sent a curious message after the dismal 0-0 draw with Bologna, prompting a furious response from fans who want Rudi Garcia sacked.

The Partenopei were held to a goalless stalemate at the Stadio Dall’Ara this evening, with Victor Osimhen missing a penalty and then arguing with the coach as he was substituted in the final minutes.

They have just two points from the last three Serie A matches and are already seven points adrift of leaders Inter in the defence of their Scudetto.

Despite all that, De Laurentiis wrote this message on his official Twitter account: “Napoli start again from Bologna. Well done everyone!”

This did not seem like the kind of response that the fiery patron would have to such a run of results, so some asked if it was a fake account or had been hacked.

Others joked he must’ve scheduled the social media post and assumed they would win the game, or uploaded the wrong message from the drafts.

The calls are growing rapidly from Napoli supporters to get Garcia out, as he has struggled to create any kind of bond with the players after Luciano Spalletti left.

This tension was evident today when the Napoli fans in the crowd loudly jeered Garcia’s decisions to substitute Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen.

Even Osimhen reacted angrily to being called off when his team was chasing the win.

The primary call is from fans urging De Laurentiis to replace Garcia while there is “still time” to salvage the season.

  1. From a professional level ,it is unacceptable to miss on such a golden opportunity.
Maybe not to the point of getting sacked but not far.
