Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis met with Apple CEO Tim Cook today, where a possible partnership was reportedly discussed.

Cook was at the Apple centre in San Giovanni a Teduccio today and he was seen with a smiling De Laurentiis. The University of Naples Federico II awarded the Apple CEO with an honorary degree in Innovation and International Management.

As reported by Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, De Laurentiis and Cook discussed a possible partnership between Napoli and Apple, which would further raise the international profile of the Partenopei.

The Napoli president has been working hard to grow the club’s commercial partnerships in recent years, with the team’s kits now being designed by Emporio Armani and the club having Amazon as their shirt sponsor.

The Partenopei have started the season incredibly well under Luciano Spalletti, sitting top of the Serie A table and winning both their opening Champions League matches against Liverpool and Rangers.

  1. Why don’t the ask Apple or Amazon for sponsoring the new stadium, or even better Laurentiis should sell up 90 percent of the club to one of the two giants.
