Special commissioner Gianluca Basile has assured Napoli that their dressing rooms will be delivered by Friday.

Napoli defended Carlo Ancelotti’s staunch criticism of the renovation work at the San Paolo with a video showing their dressing rooms to resemble more of a building site.

However, the Partenopei have now been given guarantees by the man in charge of the 2019 Summer Universiade, which was held at the club’s stadium.

However, the Partenopei have now been given guarantees by the man in charge of the 2019 Summer Universiade, which was held at the club’s stadium.

“I’m sorry to hear Ancelotti’s words,” Basile told ANSA.

“Perhaps there’s been a misunderstanding but, with the company that is carrying out the work, we’d agreed that they’d finish furnishing and cleaning up on Thursday and then deliver the final work to Napoli on Friday.

“In the past few days I’ve received assurances that on Friday, the dressing room will be cleaned and delivered.”

Naples city council has also since posted photos of the dressing rooms looking more complete.

Refurbishment of the locker rooms is a pressing matter as Ancelotti’s side host Sampdoria and Liverpool over the next few days.
