Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has reportedly agreed to the terms of a five-year contract with Juventus.

The 51-year-old Italian director arrived in the Campania capital back in 2015 and has played a crucial role in the club’s rise to the top of Serie A, bringing in stars like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Victor Osimhen and Kim Min-Jae.

After helping Napoli break a 33-year wait for the Scudetto, Giuntoli is now ready to take on his next adventure and seems destined to head to Turin. Juventus need to appoint a new sporting director to kick start the next era at the club and the 51-year-old is reportedly their top choice.

As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Giuntoli has verbally agreed to a five-year contract with Juventus worth around €1.5m net per season. Although terms have been agreed, the director is not able to move to Turin just yet.

Giuntoli still has a year left on his contract with Napoli and president Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want to lose him for nothing, so it’s likely that a compensation fee will be needed to free up the sporting director.
