Napoli have staunchly denied that Jorge Mendes is on his way to Dimaro to discuss James Rodriguez’s move from Real Madrid.
Radio Kiss Kiss claimed late on Thursday morning that Mendes was flying to Napoli’s preseason training camp for talks with club officials over James’ proposed transfer.
However, that was quickly followed by the Partenopei tweeting: “Even though Napoli’s official radio station says Mendes is coming to Dimaro, needless to say Mendes isn’t.

“It’s really sad how anyone can write whatever they want without performing any verifications.”
Despite that, AS and CalcioNapoli24 were still expecting the agent to touch down in northern Italy.
That was because journalists and members of law enforcement were crowding around a nearby helipad, presumably anticipating Mendes’ arrival.
As it were, Mendes was not among those who landed on the helipad but rather representatives of Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
