La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Napoli have decided against signing Hamed Junior Traoré and Leander Dendoncker permanently, so they will return to Bournemouth and Aston Villa at the end of the season.

Napoli will not make Traoré and Dendoncker’s loan moves permanent at the end of the season, so both midfielders will return to Bournemouth and Aston Villa in June, Friday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports on page 15.

Both midfielders moved to the Stadio Maradona in the January transfer window but failed to convince the Partenopei to keep them beyond the summer.

How much Traoré and Dendoncker would cost

Traoré has made eight appearances across all competitions with Napoli but has failed to score or assist so far. Napoli won’t activate a €25m clause to sign him permanently but will need to pay a reduced sum for the ex-Sassuolo star’s six-month loan.

Dendoncker only made three Serie A appearances, all as a substitute, playing just 21 minutes in Italy’s top flight. He was left out of Napoli’s UEFA list for the Champions League knock-out phase, so Napoli won’t pay €10m and the Belgium international will return to Aston Villa.
