Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis looked annoyed with questions about the future Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: ‘Stop it! He signed for five years last summer.’

The Partenopei President spoke to the media after an event in Rome on Tuesday morning.

His Napoli side suffered a 4-0 loss against Milan on Sunday night. Nevertheless, they remain at the top of the Serie A table with a comfortable 16-point lead over Lazio, their closest opponent.

Luciano Spalletti and Paolo Maldini had argued during the half-time break on Sunday and ADL shared his view on the incident on Tuesday.

“It’s normal because in those moments, the result of the game can cause such reactions,” admitted the Partenopei President who looked irritable when asked a new question about the future of Kvaratskhelia, one of his stars.

“Do you want to stop it?” He told reporters, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

“He already signed for five years last summer.”

Multiple reports in Italy have claimed ADL wants to sit down with the Georgia international to negotiate a longer deal at the Stadio Maradona. Georgian and France sources said last week that Kvara had already agreed to a new contract with Napoli.

De Laurentiis explained that he was not worried by Sunday’s defeat against Milan: “It’s part of football and anything can happen” but called for sanctions against violent ultras inside stadiums.

“This story has been going on for 50 years. Until we use Thatcher’s law in Italy, we’ll always have these problems. Those are not fans but criminals allowed to come to the stadium.”

On Sunday, Napoli ultras remained silent for a big portion of the game to protest against the increase in ticket prices and some clashed with each other during a 4-0 loss with Milan.
