With Roma asking for at least €20m for Marash Kumbulla, Napoli are now considering Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez and Chelsea’s Malang Sarr, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Partenopei need a replacement for Kostas Manolas, who has returned to Greece, joining Olympiacos on a permanent deal.

Kumbulla is their No.1 target, but Roma’s economic demands are too high for Napoli. The Giallorossi want at least €20m for the former Hellas Verona defender and are not open to selling him on loan with an option to buy.

They could accept a loan deal with an obligation to buy, but still in the region of €20m.

For these reasons, Napoli are now looking elsewhere and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, both Sarr and Sanchez are among their targets for the winter transfer window.

Sarr has been struggling with playing time at Chelsea and has also been linked with Milan.

The intermediary in charge of negotiations with Italian clubs is Romelu Lukaku’s agent Federico Pastorello.

On the other hand, Sanchez has played five of Antonio Conte’s six Premier League games in charge of Tottenham, so it remains to be seen if Spurs would agree to sell the 25-year-old on an initial loan deal.

Fenerbache’s Attila Szalai is also on Napoli’s radars, but Chelsea remain in pole to sign the 23-year-old who is valued at €20m.
