Napoli coach Rudi Garcia has become a father for the fourth time, welcoming a baby with Francesca Brienza, who he met when they were both working for Roma.
President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed the happy news with congratulations for the couple, who welcomed daughter Sofia today.
The French tactician has three children from a previous marriage and was already separated when he met Brienza, who at the time was a correspondent for the official Roma television channel.
She had to interview Garcia several times and they fell in love, staying together after he left Roma in January 2016.
Since then, he has been the coach of Olympique Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais and Al-Nassr, coming to Napoli in July 2023.
Francesca was not with him during the first few weeks of this season, as she remained in France preparing to give birth.
According to Il Mattino newspaper, Garcia is taking two days off to be with his family and will return to training in Naples on Monday.
