Napoli have confirmed their defender Kostas Manolas suffered a muscle injury during their Europa League clash against Legia Warsaw.

The Greece international was forced off the pitch in the 72nd minute with a suspected muscle injury.

The Partenopei have confirmed exams undergone by the former Roma star in the morning highlighted a ‘low degree lesion in his gluteal muscle.’

However, there was also good news as Piotr Zielinski returned to group training and is expected to be available against Roma on Sunday.

The Poland international had missed yesterday’s Europa League clash as a precautionary measure to avoid an injury ahead of the big match at the Stadio Olimpico against José Mourinho’s side.
