Napoli have confirmed their midfielder Diego Demme suffered a knee ligament injury during yesterday’s friendly match against Pro Vercelli.
“Diego Demme was examined at Villa Stuart this morning, accompanied by club doctor Raffaele Canonico, following the injury he suffered yesterday in the friendly against Pro Vercelli,” Napoli’s official statement reads.
“The tests indicated that the player suffered a high-grade sprain to the medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
“The player will begin a rehabilitation process immediately. The time needed for recovery will be evaluated in the coming weeks.”
