Napoli announced their second signing of day on Thursday with left-back Mathias Olivera arriving from Getafe.

Earlier in the day, the Partenopei and president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed Andre Zambo Anguissa had joined on a permanent deal.

And just an hour later, another confirmation post appeared on their Twitter feed, with De Laurentiis later welcoming him to the club on social media.

Olivera, 24, joins after five seasons in Spain spent mainly with Getafe but which included a brief spell on loan Albacete in the second tier.

In total, he made 111 appearances across all competitions in his four-and-a-half seasons with Getafe.

He started his career with Nacional in his native Uruguay and won a league title in 2015-16 before briefly moving to Atlas en route to signing for Getafe.

Olivera has three caps for Uruguay, all of which have been earned in 2022, and was part of the team which won the South American under-20 championship in Ecuador in 2017.
