Barcelona are reportedly eager to be rid of Gerard Deulofeu and prepared to hand him over to Napoli on loan with €17m option to buy.

The winger impressed in a six-month loan spell at Milan last season, but has found playing time hard to come by at Camp Nou.

That situation will only get worse with the arrival of €140m purchase Philippe Coutinho, so Deulofeu is looking to the exit.

According to Mediaset Premium and Catalan source RAC1, Napoli have stepped up their interest over the last 24 hours, since Simone Verdi decided to stay at Bologna.

The deal on the table could be a loan with €17m option to buy, which would suit both clubs and the player.

Deulofeu would join an already strong Spanish contingent at the Stadio San Paolo with Pepe Reina, Raul Albiol and Jose Callejon.

Inter were interested, but seem to have turned their focus on to Barcelona midfielder Rafinha instead.
