Fenerbache defender Kim Min-Jae hasn’t trained with his team today and reports in Italy suggest Napoli are close to signing him as a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly.
Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com report that the Partenopei are in advanced talks with Fenerbache over the 25-year-old who has already given his green light to move to the Stadio Maradona.
The South Korea international has a €20m clause included in his contract, but the Partenopei are trying to lower his transfer fee and according to Calciomercato, they hope to secure his services for circa €15m.
Kim hasn’t trained with the team today, meaning a move is on the cards. The 25-year-old is Napoli’s priority target to replace Koulibaly, who is on the verge of completing a €40m move to Chelsea.
Koulibaly will leave Napoli after eight years and refused to sign a contract extension with Napoli. He arrived in London on Wednesday to undergo his medical with the Blues.
Yikes
What do you mean yikes. He looks solid and Korean players have raised their game a lot. Just look at Son. Koulibaly came out of nowhere and he should be given a chance.
I hope it all works out for Napoli and Kim Min-Jae. However, It would be nice to see Serie A clubs nurture local players & show more faith in Italian youth.
Napoli will be a midtable team next season. Guess 4th place will be a derby between Roma and Lazio then.
Rube, Inter and Milan will surely take top 3 in any particular order and all of them will likely crash out in the groupstages of the CL.
@Gino Could be a decent buy with the added merchandise deals with Korean players.
