The only remaining sticking points are around his wage demands, which are reportedly €2.6m per season compared to the €2.2m on offer at Napoli.
The Julio Cesar situation is also tied in with Roma, who are eager to sign Morgan De Sanctis from Napoli.
It’s suggested that if De Sanctis is not handed over quickly then the Giallorossi will target Palermo’s Stefano Sorrentino instead.
