Spanish newspapers continue to insist Napoli met with Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic’s agent, providing competition for Milan in a possible loan or €50m purchase.

While negotiations drag on for Victor Osimhen from Lille, and until the image rights are resolved, everyone who follows Napoli closely will know that nothing can be taken for granted, Jovic keeps emerging as the alternative.

While negotiations drag on for Victor Osimhen from Lille, and until the image rights are resolved, everyone who follows Napoli closely will know that nothing can be taken for granted, Jovic keeps emerging as the alternative.

He’d certainly be cheaper, as Real Madrid are open to releasing him on loan after just two goals and two assists in 25 competitive appearances this season.

The Liga champions spent €60m to purchase the Serbia international from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, but he has struggled to make his mark.

Milan would be the favourites for his signature, on loan with option to buy, as he’d reunite with former Eintracht teammate Ante Rebic.

However, Spanish newspapers AS and Mundo Deportivo, as well as the Corriere dello Sport, maintain Napoli met with agent Fali Ramadani to discuss the Jovic situation.

Of course, Ramadani knows Napoli well, as he already represents Kalidou Koulibaly and Nikola Maksimovic.

Leicester City and Chelsea are also keeping an eye on Jovic, who could be available for €50m, or on loan with option to buy.
