Napoli are reportedly considering Bournemouth’s €30m rated central defender Nathan Ake as a possible replacement for Raul Albiol.

According to newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the Azzurri have earmarked the former Chelsea player as a potential summer recruit.

Albiol has missed the last three months after he underwent surgery on a patellar tendon injury – and the Partenopei don’t want to be left short if the 33-year-old fails to fully recover in time for next season.

Ake’s €30m price tag wouldn’t scare off the Neapolitan club, while his ability in playing the ball out from back could be of benefit to Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s rumoured plans to change the way Napoli play next season.

The 24-year-old has been an ever-present in the league for the Cherries this term and has won 10 caps for the Netherlands.
