Genoa’s sporting director has admitted that “I hope Mattia Perin goes to Napoli” if he leaves the Grifone.
Napoli were linked with Perin last summer as speculation arose of Pepe Reina possibly joining Paris Saint-Germain, and Giorgio Perinetti revealed the Partenopei were his preferred next destination for the goalkeeper.
“If Perin really has to leave Genoa, I hope he goes to Napoli,” he told Radio Crc.

“He’d deserve a great club like them. The relationships between the two clubs and two environments are excellent.
“Once Napoli have an issue with goalkeepers, possibly because Reina won’t renew, we’ll take another look.
“He’s a symbol for Genoa, we’re all very attached to him and he’d have the right to play in European competition.
“Pellegri? He has what it takes to be a champion one day. He’ll be the national team’s No 9.”
