Napoli have won the first four games and sit alone at first place in Serie A for the first time since Week 26 in 2017-18, when Maurizio Sarri was in charge.

The Partenopei picked up another impressive win against Udinese on Monday night, leaving the Dacia Arena with a 4-0 win.

Victor Osimhen, Amir Rrahmani, Kalidou Koulibaly and Hirving Lozano scored the goals, as Luciano Spalletti’s men surpassed Inter and Milan in the table and are the only team to have a perfect record.

Inter and Milan are unbeaten after four games, but a draw each leave them at 10 points, sharing second in Serie A.

Four games are not enough for the Partenopei to start talking about the Scudetto, but the current league leaders have not experienced the feeling of sitting alone at the top since 2018.

The last time it happened for Napoli was after the 26th round of fixtures in 2017-18, when Sarri’s men went head-to-head with Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus.

Napoli were in front with 69 points against the 68 points of the Old Lady, who eventually won the title.

  1. Trust me, after all these years we’re not. Though it is nice to see Juve in the relegation zone even if it is only RD 4 🙂

  2. Playing very good football, team is gelling well, players performing…fans behind the team. Things are clicking for Napoli. Just get Insigne to extend and Vesuvius would erupt!

Can’t help thinking that ADL could throw a spanner in the works at any given moment though. So far the usually combustible Spalletti and the club dynamic seems to be working well.

Looking fwd to a Napoli Milan game. Should be some fireworks in there.

Enjoy the ride. Diego is watching.

    Forza Milan!
