Giacomo Raspadori has reportedly asked Sassuolo to be sold this summer, so it is a battle between Juventus and Napoli for his signature, and the Bianconeri will meet his agent tomorrow.

The 22-year-old Italy international is under contract until June 2024 and has seemingly told the club he will not renegotiate a new deal.

Sky Sport Italia claim he has put in a transfer request and is determined to move on to a Champions League club.

Raspadori is a product of the Sassuolo youth academy, moving his way through the ranks to become one of their most important players.

Sassuolo have said they will not sell for under €40m, having just sold Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham United for €36m plus €6m in bonuses and a 10 per cent cut of any future sale.

Napoli were first to make a move for Raspadori, agreeing personal terms with the striker and seeing their €30m proposal rejected by the club.

Juventus followed swiftly afterwards, seeing Raspadori as a player who can work both as a centre-forward and wide left of the trident attack.

With this in mind, the Bianconeri are set to meet with his agent on Wednesday to sway his preference over to them.

  1. If Juve can do this, I’m all for it.

But please — what is going to take to get a left back??? Did the management not see Barcelona and Real Madrid running circles around Sandro? We can never play out of the back nor have a high line with him because he’s too slow and a liability. It forces Allegri to then sit back and we’ll suffer again this season just like we all did last year.

  2. @Kmac

I agree, watching Sandro play was painful. If we aren’t getting someone new, I’d rather Pellegrini to be a starter. anything but Sandro. The man can’t even run like a footballer.

  3. Indeed Sandor was terrible in those games. I used to support him by saying he still defended well, but even those days are long gone it seems. The problem is that other teams also saw those matches, so who will buy him? We’ll probably be stuck with him for one more season.

  4. Would be a great signing if Juve can get Raspadori to agree. Much better than Kostic, Metens Depay etc etc. nothing against those players in particular but Raspadori is a better fit and has many years to play in front of him also.

Pellegrini should be given the left back spot. Sandro has been a waste of a jersey for a few years minimum

  5. Raspadori would be a good buy that price seems a tad high. Agree that he could be great but with Chiesa comming back his chances could be limited. Agree that the LB role needs resolved. Pellegrini could play there but awareness may be an issue. Certainly an upgrade on Sandro. Juve could certainly do with a keeper upgrade. Swoop for Kepa and challenge Szczęsny then likely replace him. Perrin hasnt really developed enough to oust Szczęsny. However Juve have made some good signings and am keen to see the attacking force at Allegri’s disposal.
