‘Napoli also tough for Madrid’

Fabio Capello believes Real Madrid will also have their work cut out when they face Napoli in the Champions League last 16.

Napoli were handed arguably the toughest draw of the lot on Friday, with Madrid unbeaten in 35 games and Europe’s reigning champions, but Capello claims the Partenopei have what it takes to unsettle Los Blancos.

“Napoli-Real Madrid will be such an exciting challenge for the Azzurri [Napoli], one that can bring out the quality of their players,” the former Merengues boss told Radio Crc.

“If Napoli play well, with the pace and talent that their team possesses, it’ll be an open and interesting game.

“They must take great care of Real’s deadly counterattack. It’s true that Napoli could’ve had a better draw, but the same holds true for Real Madrid.

“My best goes to Napoli, and I hope that when the tie comes around, they will be healthy. That’s the most important thing.

“I know Ramos well, you can’t lose sight of him. He knows how to free himself of his marker, so they need to take their time.”
