La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Napoli are working on a deal for Gabri Veiga and have agreed personal terms with the Celta Vigo starlet.
The Azzurri are currently finalising the arrival of Jens-Lys Cajuste from Stade Reims, picking up the Swedish talent to add some cover to the midfield. Further reinforcements will be needed for the department, however.
Piotr Zielinski is seemingly edging towards a move to Saudi Arabia, pushing Napoli to look for a strong replacement for Rudi Garcia’s squad.
Pages six and seven of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport detail how Napoli have offered a deal worth around €32-33m for Veiga, which is still below Celta Vigo’s €40m asking price, wanting his release clause to be activated.
The report suggests that a deal could be agreed for around €35-36m with add-ons, and a new offer is expected to be sent in the coming days.
In the meantime, Veiga has already agreed to the terms of a contract with Napoli, giving the green light to a five-year deal worth €1.8m net per season plus add-ons.
