Napoli announced on Thursday they have agreed a deal with Fulham for the permanent signing of midfielder Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa.

The Cameroon international joined in the summer initially on a loan after suffering relegation from the Premier League with the Cottagers but proved an inspired signing for the Partenopei.

A Napoli statement read: “President Aurelio De Laurentiis is pleased to announce that SSC Napoli have completed a deal with Fulham to make Frank Anguissa’s move permanent.”

The club owner followed with his own tweet on the situation, which read: “Dear Frank, what a pleasure to have you with us again #ADL.”

Anguissa made 30 appearances throughout last season and his absence was telling when he was competing for the Africa Cup of Nations in his homeland midway through the campaign.

He began his career in France with Marseille where he spent three seasons before moving to Fulham.

After suffering relegation from the Premier League, he moved to Villarreal on loan during the 2019-20 campaign before spending another season in west London and eventually joining Napoli.
