Reports in France claim that FC Nantes have rejected an opening bid from Inter for talented defender Nathan Zeze.

The Nerazzurri have been fairly quiet in the early stages of the summer transfer window, only spending money on Genoa’s Josep Martinez as veterans Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi joined on free transfers.

The Milanese club have been heavily linked with Albert Gudmundsson in recent months but haven’t pulled the trigger on a deal and recently saw their work for Venezia’s Tanner Tessmann collapse. No major sales have been completed, although Valentin Carboni has been linked with a move away.

Nantes reject Inter offer

Ouest France details how Inter expressed interest in teenage defender Zeze and sent Nantes an offer worth around €12-13m including add-ons, which was firmly rejected by the French side. Talks could progress in the coming days.

The 19-year-old centre back, who is contracted to the Ligue 1 outfit to June 2028, broke into the first team last season, seeing 1022 minutes of action in the topflight.
