Nantes directors insist Inter have not intercepted a move for Filip Djordjevic. “We think he’s already signed for Lazio.”
Djordjevic is out of contract in June and is headed for Lazio, but there are recent rumours the Nerazzurri hijacked the deal with a bid to have the striker arrive in January.
“Contact with Inter? No, we haven’t had any. If Inter want him right now, they need to talk to us first,” Nantes director general Frank Kita told calciomercato.com.
“At Nantes we think he’s already signed for Lazio. How will he do in Italy? Let us see him get there first and then we’ll know. In the meantime, he is a Nantes player.
“Inter in January or Lazio in June? We would prefer him to stay and have offered a contract extension.”
The Serbia international hitman has scored eight goals in 20 Ligue 1 games this season.
