Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez has become a target for Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, but he is still determined to join Inter.

The Uruguay international claims he was promised a transfer to San Siro this summer and is refusing all other alternatives.

He also failed to attend a team get-together, missing their pre-season friendly, and is training separately from the rest of the squad.

According to La Repubblica newspaper, it is true that Tottenham and West Ham have made approaches for Nandez, but he has his heart set on Inter and will not budge.

The problem is that the Nerazzurri have begun turning to other objectives, finding with Romelu Lukaku’s exit that a new striker is more of a priority.

It’s not the first time Nandez has been unimpressed by the idea of a Premier League move, as he was repeatedly linked with Leeds United last year and remained at Cagliari.

This has now turned into a war of attrition between the club and player.
