Nahitan Nandez has landed at Milan‘s Malpensa Airport from Uruguay but is heading to Cagliari as the Rossoblu and Inter are still negotiating over his transfer fee.

Nandez has emerged as Inter’s priority target to replace Achraf Hakimi, who has joined PSG in a €71m move.

Nandez has arrived in Milan from Uruguay after his holiday but will take a new flight to Cagliari where he is expected to begin training with Leonardo Semplici’s side in the coming days.

The Sardinians had extended his holidays by three days, hoping to have enough time to close the deal with Inter.

Cagliari set price for Nandez, put Godin on the market

According to Calciomercato.com, Nandez wants to join Inter, but the Nerazzurri and Cagliari have not reached an agreement over his transfer fee.

Cagliari are open to loaning the player out for €5m, adding an option to buy for €20m plus add-ons.

Inter don’t want to spend more than €2-3m for the player’s loan, so talks are ongoing and the player’s agent could soon meet both clubs again.

Meantime, Cagliari sporting director Stefano Capozucca has confirmed Nandez will leave if the club receive an adequate offer.

“Talks with Inter are ongoing, if the we receive the right offer, Nahitan will leave,” he told Sky Sport.

Nandez has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A champions and will sign a four-year, €3m-a-year deal if the two clubs reach an agreement.
