“I always put myself at the disposal of the team. I felt ready two days ago and got back to training with the group. I work for my teammates, they work for me, it’s a wonderful group to be a part of,” the midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.
“The coach came here knowing we were having issues, I liked the way he dealt with the team and it hasn’t been easy to get his ideas across when we didn’t have any games to play, but we have all been working hard.
“Considering where we were at the start, I did think we could qualify for Europe, then we ran into some problems. Now, I am not so sure, why not try?”
Nainggolan had a similar approach when asked if he was returning to Inter after the loan in Sardinia?
“I don’t know what’s in the future for me, as nobody has said anything. If Cagliari were to make an effort, then why couldn’t I stay?”
