Nainggolan completed a move from Cagliari to Roma in January 2014, when Sabatini was the Giallorossi’s director of sport.

“Nainggolan is not good, he never wanted to recognise me a part of his happiness,” Sabatini told TeleRoma56.

“I am extremely attached to him, I even hugged him while he was sweating, which is something I would never do, even with my own son. But he is still no good.

“I used to call him overnight when he was in Rome. He always swore he was at home, it was never true, he is a liar, he was always somewhere and it’s despicable for a professional to get caught drunk outside nightclubs, but I’ve always loved him on a sporting level.

“His sliding tackles were exciting to watch, when he arrived in January I thought I had made the best deal of my career.”

In the first part of his interview, Sabatini claimed Edin Dzeko was 'humiliated' by Roma coach Paulo Fonseca.
