Roma are on edge after RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann confessed they ‘probably won’t purchase’ Patrik Schick at the end of his loan spell.
The striker made the move at a cost of €3.5m with option to buy for a further €29m.
Although he scored nine goals in 18 Bundesliga appearances, it seems as if the Czech international hasn’t entirely won the club over.
“I think we’ll manage to get into the top four this season and gain Champions League qualification,” Nagelsmann told Bild.

“Even if that does happen, I believe we probably won’t purchase Schick and Angelino. We cannot waste resources, even if we do qualify for the Champions League.
“We have a rigorous plan and a budget that has to be respected. If we don’t sell players, it’s unlikely we’ll be able to bring in new ones.”
Schick has no room for him at Roma, so the race would be on to find a new buyer for the 24-year-old.
