Yuto Nagatomo has warned former club Cesena that he’ll be looking to beat them with Italian giants Inter in Week 16.
The Japanese international was brought to Italy by the Seahorses in the summer of 2010, before moving to San Siro during the following January.
“To play in ‘my’ Cesena will be special,” the 25-year-old told the Corriere dello Sport. “I want to show everyone there how I have grown.
“However, winning on Sunday and then on Wednesday against Lecce will be fundamental for us without a shadow of a doubt.”
The Nerazzurri have triumphed in four of their last five Serie A games, allowing them to move into sixth – albeit still 10 points behind leaders Juventus.
Nagatomo has become a vital figure in recent weeks after scoring in the club’s last two wins over Fiorentina and Genoa.
“It’s nice to score and win,” he added. “But I just hope to stay fit.”
