Yunus Musah has been left out of the Valencia squad for their pre-season friendly against Nottingham Forest this afternoon amidst speculation that he is close to securing a move to Milan in the coming days.

Valencia named two different starting XIs at the start of both halves of their pre-season curtain raiser, although Musah was not part of either line-up.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Milan are confident of getting a deal wrapped up with Valencia in the next couple of days. The Rossoneri’s plans are to have the US-international on board by the time they set off for their pre-season tour of the United States on Friday.

According to previous reports from SportMediaset, Milan have recently delivered their official offer to Valencia for the transfer of Musah, which is believed to be worth €18m up front.

The Spanish outfit had reportedly hoped to push for a fee closer to the €20m mark. It is believed that Milan’s deal could involve add-ons, which would see Milan’s total package match Valencia’s asking price.
